Our MISSION
At From Scratch Farm, our mission is simple... We are focused on designing beautiful and purposeful outdoor spaces that are built and installed with you in mind: your diet, your needs, your desires, intentionally at your capacity, without pressure or judgment. Our goal is to bring education and awareness around what it means to create uniquely individualized, biodiverse backyard environments. We are a collaborative company geared to helping you find your way to fresh, healthy, nutrient-rich food. By reawakening natural ecosystems and building enriched soil health within your personalized outdoor space, YOU can grow your own flavorful and nutritionally beneficial foods that are customized for your specific gut health and overall wellness.
We strive to overturn food deserts, minerally deficient soil and this idea that healthy eating is a lifestyle only for the rich and famous. We are NOT a landscaping company, focused on building turf lawns and colonial gardens. Instead, WE ARE bridging the gap between the farm and your grocery store that ends at your table. At From Scratch Farm, we have one single vision - to feed the world with affordable and local fresh food, simply by teaching you how to grow it in your own backyard.
Foundation for a Farm Girl
Over the past 27 years, Adriana Karagozian has been a renowned Chef in the restaurant industry. When she began working in farm-to-table restaurants, her love for growing was born. Tending to the garden became a quick passion and she soon learned to build city farms and community gardens, understanding the importance of fresh food in urban spaces.
After over 15 years of experience building land efficient farms, Adriana realized a huge lack of healthy, fresh, nutrient-rich food in smaller, city and rural communities. One day, she was delivering food at the local food bank for her restaurant, because they were short staffed that day. She walked through the warehouse only to find stale boxed foods and rotting bananas. When she asked where the fresh produce was, she was told that food banks aren't always lucky to have a surplus of fresh available produce. This brought her to tears.
In an effort to help feed the community that she has so loved, she began this movement, this call to help feed the world through education of sustainable growing and purposeful cooking with the purest intention of Love.

Sustainable agriculture is not just about growing crops, it's about caring for the soil, the water, the air, and all the living things that depend on them.
